I see one in your picture Bj. Nice collection BTW.
    I'm a big fan of 1942.
First tequila I tried was Cuervo Clasico, and I swore tequila off. Luckily a friend introduced me to proper tequila, so I've been dabbling the past couple of months.
    I appreciate the recommendations.

    My favorites:
Sipping: 4 Copas Anejo, Herradura Reposado or Anejo
Margaritas: Patron Silver, Herradura Silver (fresh lime, of course!)

4 Copas is absolutely fantastic tequila. The anejo has a wonderful combination of flavor and smoothness that's hard to find.

    Default Tequila!

    ONE Tequila
    TWO Tequila
    THREE Tequila

    MORE!!!!

    FOUR Tequila
    FIVE Tequila
    SIX Tequila

    FLOOR!!

I think these days, my favorites are, CIEN ANOS PURO, CAZZADORES, HORNITOS, y EL JIMADOR. CORALEJOS in the tall skinny blue bottle is fun every now and then.

I prefer to drink mine on the rocks. I pour enough to cover three ice cubes and RARELY go back for seconds.

It helps to have a "pipeline" from Mexico too.

I used to drink Jose gold, but my brother got me hooked on herradura anejo, and I can't drink the cheaper stuff now.

For a fun twist, try margarita shots. I a tall shooter: pour in a tiny bit of margarita mix, layer on a shot of tequila, then float on another splash of margarita mix. Delicious and deadly.

Man, this is funny that this thread has been brought back to life...I've been thinking about a bottle. Thanks guys! My standard has been patron silver or gold, but may try to find something you guys have listed. I like to keep it in the fridge, so none of the "rocks" dilute the flavor. Chilled glasses are also recommended. BTW, there is always a bottle of Crown in the freezer...just sayin.

My go-to bottle has always been Patron Silver, but I may have to branch out given these other highly-recommended labels. I think I will have to try the Herradura anejo.

Quervo Gold is good enough for me. I almost always mix it.

I'm cheap. 2 Fingers tequila is fine.

    1 Part Tequila
    1 Part Contreau
    1 Part El Presidente Brandy
    1/2 Part Lemon juice
    1/2 Part Lime juice
    4 Parts Mix

You have an El President Margarita like they serve at Chilies. You will love it.

Ok as I mexican I was atracted inmediately to this post.

First I notice you paid more for tequila than we do, the same bottle that costs 20 USD, here costs 10 USD Specifically Jimador (must be for the taxes). I have tasted some tequilas, some of them I did not remember about, but the best I have tasted was one tequila in Guadalajara (The capital of tequila in Mexico). This was one artesanal doing so it was not for sale, it was not labeled, but it tastes wow like any tequila I have ever try, it was sweet, but with some body, how to explain it you almost feel the agave the taste, but was not so strong to feel the scratch on your throat, with some good birria (mexican food prepared with goat and chili) and I felt on heaven, besides was on a travel to the beach, so imagine this picture.

Don Julio it is tasty but it is expensive even here, usually my folks and I try Jimador, we do not disrespect Jose Cuervo but Jimador, and Hornitos taste best for the same price. However this weekend some of my pals came with a new guy and he brought two bottles of Jose Cuervo as a greeting. So the bottles fall on the process and we have a very good time. Do not worry nobody get drunk but the meeting last until 4 a.m.

I suppose we live to the finer things in life uhh? (Usually the simpler ones)

    Regards

My only experiences with Tequila has been Jose gold and 1800, Don Julio and Cabo Wabo silver and anejo. I liked them all but I see I have some tasting to do. BTW the Don Julio is my fav so far but because it was a gift from my brother-in-law I had no idea of the cost.
