    Default Tequila

OK, pretty much everyone has a few (dozen ) "I drank so much tequila that I...... stories. I even have one or two myself. That's not really what I am interested in whith this post.

Off and on I have taken another approach to cactus whiskey. I've been drinking some of the higher grade stuff and sipping it like I would a single malt. So far I haven't developed any standout favorites. Anyone have any recommendations?

Obviously personal preference but I like Anejos for sipping. My faves are Patron and Don Julio.

Sauza Commemorativo is pretty decent for sipping without being too expensive. Hornitos (also sauza) is good too. If you like scotch, try finding some mezcal (though, stay away from monte alban). It has a smokey flavor.

Herradura and Patron are my two faves. Though, when it comes to mixing, Jose is just fine with me.

Tres Generaciones, Cabo Wabo Blanco, Patron are all tasty. I may have to check into some of the others :>

My wife has some sort of allergic reaction to Jose. She has no problems with Patron.

Having tried at least 150 different Tequilas I have settled to just a handful on my bar. I try to keep the price $50 or less because there are good Tequilas in this range. First choice would be.
Casa Noble Reposado $42 - Wine and Liquor Depot - Tequilas
Tonala Añejo 4 year $48 - Wine and Liquor Depot - Tequilas
El Jimador Añejo $42 - Shopper's Vineyard Online Store

It has to be 100% agave and I don't care for the ones you usually get locally in Grocery and Liquor stores such as Cabo Wabo, Patron, Herradura, Sauza anything, etc.

Try any of the ones I mentioned above and you will experience what real Tequila tastes like. The pictures show some of my empty bottle collection & my Tequila bar.

I've heard nothing but good things about El Jimador, going to have to pick up a bottle as I have never tried.
