I'm a bourbon man myself, but I got a free bottle of this at Christmastime, and have made many a hot toddy to get me through the winter here in the Northeast.
The razor is a Macfarlane, Edinburgh. Also a fine product of Scotland!

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit is my favorite.

Since X mentioned it- my girlfriend ordered a Manhattan on our second date  I knew I was in for it :D She's a live one. All these new posts have me thirsty. I feel a BevMo trip coming on.

Yes, still available in Holland actually. Should not be too difficult to find it online somewhere...

Current faves
My tastes occasionally vary, but:
Rye: Thomas H. Handy will knock your socks off. Russel's Rye is a lot more affordable, though.
Bourbon: I like Bulleit.
Scotch: Try Caol Ila. It's an Islay but different.

My personal favorite is Bushmill's 16 year. Great whiskey and not very expensive. I happen to like everything of theirs, though.

Sorry, this didn't come out the way I had intended - the caption in old Irish (Gaelach) says "Irish Whiskey - 12 years old" and the picture is a bottle of Jameson's Irish whiskey & Glenmorangie Scotch Whiskey.
Rumor has it that Irish Whiskey is the reason my Great Grandfather left Galway in 1879...

Jefferson's Reserve is the best bourbon I've ever had and I've had quite a few. This one can be easily (and dangerously, I might add) sipped from an Old Fashioned glass at room temperature it's so smooth.
I'm excited to try Laphroaig thanks to these recommendations, since checking out different Scotches is a favorite pastime of mine. I used to drink a lot of Irish whiskey before I really delved into the "peatier" Scotches, and I haven't turned back since. My favorite scotch right now is the Macallan 18.
For the Irish Whisky drinkers, if you like Jameson, for an extra couple bucks you can pick up Tullamore Dew and enjoy a great drink. I already have enough hair on my chest. I don't need Jameson to add more. Although while I'm thinking about Jameson, has anybody seen Jameson Gold? I believe it's 18 years old and was a fantastic sipper.
