Thanked: 0Would you mind emailing me who did the work. I sent an email to Omega regarding sending to the factory for repair. Will be interesting to see what they say.

Thanked: 10I've finally come to the conclusion that SRP is for me. Razors, watches, guns....love it. Been intrigued by watches for as long as I can remember. I applied to a watchmaking school here in PA, but didn't make the cut of 12 students out of approx. 200 applicants.
But I digress. I have two daily watches, a vintage Vostok mechanical and a newer automatic Slava. Both very reliable and tough.
The Omegas on this thread are amazing, but if I had my druthers I'd opt for a Sinn 757 UTC.

Thanked: 682010 AN EarlyBird
Introducing the 2010 AirNautic EarlyBird - my "WormCatcher"
The original Early Bird was manufactured by Ollech & Wajs in the mid-60s. A group of 24 hour watch folk decided to get an updated version built for 2010. Thanks to Mitch @ AirNautic and Dennis the 24H Moderator, my new EarlyBird has just arrived (#22 of 50).
Put a straight in the photos to introduce to the idea to guys over at 24H.

I'm a huge fan of the 24 hour analog watch. Something about the simplicity of one rotation, one day seems to make so much sense. I've got a cheap Dolphin, a Sturmanskie Traveller and just got a Botta Uno 24. I think I like the 12 at the top better than the 24. Anyone else have a preference?

i collect swatch watches and have been forced in recent times to sell off most of them.. i do however maintain my daily wearer of a swatch bunny sutra.. you can actually tap the face and the hands will meet together and spin like a roulette pointer and point out a position before returning to the proper time.. a big vulgar.. but it certainly starts some conversations at bars... it also looks a bit girly.. but when you exude masculinity like i do.. you have to play it down a bit as not to frighten small children..

I don't have either of these anymore but they were my 24 hr watches. Everytime I rotated watches it took me too long to adjust to the different display.

I wear this one daily. I have a few others. My favorite was a Longines given to me by my Granfather.

I see a downward (Upward?) trend in my life... I started with wristwatches... moved onto fountain pens and have come to straight razors... before long I figure I'll be riding a horse to work and have a home blacksmithy for shoeing my own horses.
From this thread, I've decided I really *NEED* an Omega Speedy.... that watch has been on my short list for years. I've got a Planet Ocean which I've abused to all ends and it still runs like a top.
Recently, I've become enamored with the titanium Oris divers... they've treated me wonderfully as well.
I have a few others which I love and adore... my Hubolt Big Bang I was wearing when my daughter was born... it will never leave my possession even if I decide I no longer wish to wear it.
I need to figure out my spouses camera and how to post photos efficiently on the web... On a very positive note, razors seem to be a much cheaper hobby than fountain pens... and fountain pens were worlds cheaper than good watches.
