Hawkeye, the Letort is a classic; few fish it because of its reputation. Sometimes I sit with a cigar and wait for a hatch. There have been days when I havent even strung up...then there are the rare 4 or 5 trout days. The sulphur hatch can be great for a half hour or so at dusk.
Tomorrow the Little Juniata or Fishing creek for grannom and hendricksons. Had a 10 fish day there on Weds.

I've fly fished in warm water since I was a wee lad. Last fall I did some trout fishing in Colorado for the first time. Fishing with wooly buggers seemed to be dumb simple almost.
Fishing dry flies seemed to be much more difficut. We watched a hatch in progress and the trout were hitting the floaters in the eddies like pirana. I couldn't fake out even one!

I sure love fly fishing, and making my own flies. The fishes are not really big around here, but the fun is still there.

Nightbreed, that looks very stable to fish from. Of course its a little tougher to cast when you are down on the water, but I guess you know that.
Hope you get pulled around by a large fish!!

I"m an avid fly fisher. It's a lot different here in Texas compared to mountain streams. But we do have great flats fishing for Reds, Speck Trout and Snook.

Ken, no wonder I like the razor I got from you....honed by a flyfisher! We are tinkerers...do you tie flies? Learning to hone has taken some bench time from me, but with the eastern hatches coming on, I've had to put honing aside (RAD has cured the need to hone often anyway).
Floating the Delaware River this weekend in a friends new drift boat. Cant wait.

Shark!
Oh, I didnt tell you guys what got me into fly fishing. Was a board sailor years ago. While wind surfing off the S Carolina coast, I fell in. Swimming back to the board I was bit over my left ankle and foot by a shark. Have a nice ring of teeth marks to show for it to this day. Decided to go from prey to predator (catch and release, just like the shark did for me).
