    Default Bacon!

I've recently rediscovered one of the finest things in life, bacon! I like to cook it on medium heat until it's cooked thoroughly, but just before it turns too crispy. I like it to be more toward chewy than crunchy.

Two of my favorite ways to have it, besides by itself, is to make Alice Springs Chicken or chop it up into smaller bits and mix it in with scrambled eggs and colby jack cheese.

    Swine tastes fine

    Default Bacon?

I've lost my appetite for bacon. Capital hill made certain of that.

Here's a simple one: Boil potatoes until almost done, cover in olive oil, sage and majoram; stuff spring chickens with 50% of the potatoes, put the everything in a broiler, then put broiler in pre-heated oven at 180°C for 45 minutes. Wrap chicken breasts with (preferably, Tyrolean) bacon, broil for another 15 minutes.

Preparing a sauce is left as an exercise for the reader. Hint: Adding cooking cream results in threats of divorce.

Bacon cheeseburgers are so darn tasty. The sad part is, I can never find a good one, and I have a hard time making good burgers myself

Mark, maybe you should listen to the song "Eat the Rich" by Aerosmith. Once again, swine tastes fine

Absolutely. Reminds me of a not-so-popular comment of mine in a vegan restaurant: "Eh, you're eating my food's food!"

np: Motörhead's No Sleep At All - Eat The Rich

P.S. To avoid confusion: I think the Vegan lifestyle is great. Only, I refuse to eat food which tastes like it does not want to be eaten. Personal preference, your mileage may vary, and all that.

I also like it on the chewier side but I have to stay away from the nitrite cured meats. You know you're eating too much of it when you get a pretty nasty case of Gout at only 38 years old. Pork in virtually all forms is my meat of choice.
