Bass most definitely counts IMHO. You're so necessary that most tunes sound like pure garbage without the bass line. Heck, where would Funk or Motown be without thundering Bass?
Bummer about your Fender, but there's no shame about an 80's BC Rich. It certainly beats the pants off my Ibanez GSR200. Is that a single P pickup? (just looking at your control layout)

Thanked: 993I teach primary school music. Aside from that, I'm an acoustic player. I've never been much for seeing how quickly my fingers can move, but I do appreciate those who dedicate themselves to the perfection of that style.
My greatest pleasure from playing comes from a strong rhythmic background (I'm also a drummer), and I love to see how I can change the tones of my ladies. Check out Andy Mckee on YouTube. I'll never have this skill either, but it's pretty amazing.
I love to play James Taylor, Don Mclean, Neil Young, etc. I just can't get enough of singing those poetic lines.
Anyway....for the gearheads:
At school, with the kids - Yamaha f370, so that if a foot goes through it, I won't cry too much.
At home - Yamaha FG 412-12 (12 string), for fun
and...my sweetheart.... a Norman ST-40 with a Fishman pickup. It's just sick!
And for kicks, an Ibanez Tobbaco burst Mandolin.

I'm off with my Parker Fly Deluxe for the weekend at church,
where we have 3 services including worship with the orchestra.
I'll be going through my Boss pedals: tuner -> noise suppressor
-> DD-3 short -> DD-3 long -> DS1 -> Fender Hot Rod.
Keep on playing!

I've been playing for 2 years now, not a talented player in fact I can't really do sophisticated techniques, but I do enjoy playing.
I have Cord M200, Epiphone Les Paul Custom, and Z Custom from Custom Guitar works, looking to change all the PU on the last guitar but I have to split my budget with shaving stuff now lol, I'm more like digital guy, playing with multi effect like RP155 and zoom G2.1, never had budget to buy boss GT-1, all plugged to my laptop

I've just recently started trying to learn again. Then shoulder surgery came. Hope I stick with it.

Although I do play some guitar my main ax is a 5-string banjo. Go to youtube and search for "ogershok" and you can see some clips I did for my parent's 50th anniversay about 14 years ago. I'm older and rustier now.

On this topic some of my friends have recently pressed me into singing and playing at a "coffee shop" thing that we go to on Wednesday nights. The night is tonight and I'm doing mostly Johnny Cash stuff, and a couple of others...
I've never really played or sang in front of an audience before, so my nerves are rather wracked right now!

Ive been playing guitar for about 12 years, and when i was in the whole"my band is going to make it mode" i played my 2 telecasters through, a couple of orange 4 12s and one jcm 800, and a yamaha t100( kinda like a soldano) but now that im not shredding my country hard rock /metal riffs anymore i just play through a fender deville. I also Love antiquity pickups for telecasters, there so bluesy sounding, and then of course some hot rails for the more heavier stuff.
