Yes I did replace it,, have the GMC up for sale and went and got this, it's diesel, my new RV was a lot for the gas engine, plenty of horsepower but not the torque or fuel mileage,, so I upgraded. And no it doesn't fit in the garage, my motorcycles get my side, truck can stay out front or in the back. Thanks all now all I got to do is hide that check when it comes in so she don't see that I Spent more than 30k. Maybe the other truck will sell quick enough for me to get it in the bank before she knows! Tc

Come on Pete meet me n Memphis and come on to Texas

Restarting this thread, cause just like a car, if you don't turn it over now and then, it won't go..
So, I rented a new 5.0 mustang for a few days while on a business trip.
    Here's my pony review.

Nice lines, and a great cockpit. Three modes for steering, ride, and power band. Sport, comfort and wet basically with things tweaking accordingly between modes. All done by silver toggles under the radio, errr TV screen.

Neat accent door sill lighting I didn't notice till night time.

And a kinda cool entry light that shines on the ground beside the door when you approach with the rf key fob automatically.

Ok,,I had a Mustang when growing up, mine was 50 years older than this one so things have changed. Seats felt way better than my 67, but the 67 was a convertible so there's that.
The hood on this one shimmied or shook while driving such that I pulled over to make sure it was properly down, sadly it was, it just had that much latch play.
It has paddle shifters, and a S position on the tranny that while in sport mode, with traction control off, should have been a neck snapping experience from a stand still.
While it has great deep exhaust notes, and squaked some, it did not snap me back. Took off fast, steady and strong, but no G force rush, or holding on tighter to the wheel.
I wanted to love it, I really did. Tom, if you are reading this, it didn't quite kick enough stones sadly..
I also found the lower side body effects stuck out to the sides too far and I kept clipping the little nub on the side of my ankle painfully as I exited the car. Would have to learn to avoid that if I bought one.
Anyway, I firmly believe, with as much impartiality as I can muster, that my little 27 year young highly modified German coupe, with tuned and tweaked 4 cylinder turbocharged engine will still crush this car in the 1/4. Top end, no question,'stang will eat me up and spit me out. Comfort, again the pony wins in spades and has a great cabin with only a few blemishes with respect to fitment.
But from a muscle perspective, which is what it's really supposed to be about, I expected more where the rubber meets the road.
Oh, here's a recent pic of 'der Schläfer'
