There will always be a soft spot in my heart for the ol' gran-daddy -- Tabasco (original). And, I enjoy dabbling from time to time - especially when eating barbecue.

At the end of the day though, my two favorites remain to be...

    - Frank's Red Hot for good old, traditional buffalo wings, on omlettes, and in sloppy joes and chili...
    - and Cholula for Mexican food

    Default Mad Dog Warning

My sons father-in-law buys "Mad Dog" by the case from somewhere in the state of Washington. I really don't know how anybody can survive this stuff. BTW, this is a warning to anybody who is offered this to try. DON'T DO IT! It will knock your D*** in the dirt. I tried some at his house one night and I thought I would die, literally! His daughter was showing off, she is eighteen, swallowed about a teaspoon, and passed out - right there on the kitchen floor. He and his sons consume this monstrous product on a regular basis. I don't understand how anyone could enjoy this!

This is a warning to all!

I received a bottle of sauce called "Stinging Hornets" as a stocking stuffer last month.

It packs plenty of heat, but the flavor of it is what makes it a great sauce.

Those are my choices as well. I like to try various hot sauces just for fun but those three are the kings.

mad dog is on the milder side of the superhot sauces and anyone can enjoy it after a while. It's like straight shaving, most feel the burn first then like it after a bit. Mad dog is pretty good. Another good sauce is Acid Rain. Not very hot, and tastes great.

Hottest sauce I ever tried came from New Orleans-"Scorned Woman". Hell really hath no fury like that salsa does!
