    Default Hot Sauce anyone?

They come in all flavors and strengths. Anyone here enjoy them? I ran out of my last little bit just today so got to thinking about them. Starting to really like the raspberry and the garlic hot sauces.

I am always envious at the collection at Firehouse Subs. But, my colon thanks me.

I have a bottle of "flaming a**hole" (it's real name) I bought at a specialty store in Ottawa, had it for ever they make you sign a waiver when you buy it, delicious but way too hot for anything but daring your buddies to eat a spoonful, HeHeHe.

I like Marie Sharp's Belizean Heat, I like Pure Habanero, and a Texas Tongue Torch from Bull Snort (it's mild, but good), regular tobasco, and the brown El Yucateco that Brad gifted me. The Yucateco is out of this world. There is sauce by the same name (Mayan Recipe) that doesn't have the same ingredients on the label of mine - I hope I'll be able to find more of it

I like Dave's Insanity, a little dab'll do ya. I put it in soup, chili, mix it with Ketchup or to kick salsa up a notch. I also like one called Jump Up and Kiss Me. That can be used more liberally and is really tasty. I had it on sausage with peppers and onions tonight. yum.

I go for flavor in a jar sauce then apply a bit of magic dust.

    Magic Dust:
Piquin Chili Peppers -- buzz in an abandoned coffee grinder.

The local Safeway has fresh habeneros, best way I know to use them
is to run them through a very thin slicer. then dip chicken
in the habenero slices on one side and grill with peppers
facing up. then flip and most of the pepper will fall on the
coals infusing the smoke with flavor leaving heat and flavor behind.
try a little at first and they will grow on you.

Hint wear gloves and do not scratch -- anything.

I'm not a huge fan of *HOT* hot sauces, just for the thrill of the heat. However I do like a serrano or jalapeno pepper with my meals occasionaly, as well as typical diner sauces like tobasco and lousiana gold.

I love them myself. My sister just brought me some homemade stuff she got in Jamaica on a trip thats the best so far, very hot but very good aswell. Its a mix of scotch bonnets and savina. I was into buying all those "chemical" sauces for a while, like Black Mamba and Blairs but thats not very good. Anyone who says "it tastes good if you can handle it" is just trying to show off. I can handle most of them okay and have yet to find one over 1million scoville that tasted good. Black Mamba is the least bad of those. My favorite readily available is called Legend, and is about 500000 so its quite hot but tastes great. Its kind of expensive though since they only make a small amount every year.

I love this stuff, but it seems to be off the market (at least where we live).

Try a search. One of our members has (or had) a pretty impressive collection. Might have been Icedog?
