Any Gear/Motor heads step in!!
I've been a motor head since I was a kid and it is one of my passions. I love all types of cars and attend as many car shows as I can during the spring/summmer and fall.
I currently have two cars: 1955 Chevrolet and a 2007 Corvette. I purchased the '55 in March 2006 and I am the second owner. The history of the car is unique, I have the original order form, build sheets, canceled checks from the original owner etc.
Anyone else out there a gear/head, chime in.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

As of right now, I am working on a 57 Ford F100 that my Uncle bought new. The first vehicle I ever drove and worked on. Rebuilt this Y Block 292 in about '94 or so. Gave it back to him when I was 16 and had bought a Fiat. Always kicked myself, but he recently GAVE it to me, as he wanted me to have it more than he wanted to sell it to someone else. Various BSA and Triumph bobbers, a million different vehicles over the years. Just unloaded a '68 BMW 1600 to fund a dropped spindle and a louver punch for this old Ford. Gonna run mooneye caps and the original patina. No radio, no power steering, crank windows, manual brakes.
YESTERDAY'S TECHNOLOGY TODAY!
Also have a lead on an old 40 coupe. Want to chop and channel, rebuild a chassis, and run a flathead. Sick.

I have a 8.5 liter Foxbody Mustang that made 637hp / 617lbft torque on the engine dyno on 91 octane. In the car with the 2 stage nitrous setup and 109 octane it makes 842hp / 1067lbft torque and ran a best of 9.19@ 151mph.
It has plates, insurance and drives back and forth to the track on the weekends.
Did I mention it's EFI and passes the sniffer out here in Arizona

Over the years I've had a '64 Ford Sprint, '68 MG Midget, and a '35 Chevy Standard. I've switched gears a little and the current love of my life is a '52 Ford 8N tractor (it's fun to work on something the same age as me ).
A good day is spent in the shed and a cold beer when the job's done.

Cars are almost as much of my identity as family. I don't remember a time when I wasn't a gearhead, and decided when I was 9 or 10 that I someday want to start my own car company, and then deciding that automotive engineering seemed like a good career to start out in. So now I have my automotive engineering degree, and work as a durability test engineer for Mack trucks... still working on the starting my own car company idea! Someday...
Currently I have a 2005 Cadillac STS, 1996 Jeep Cherokee, 1973 Porsche 911, and a Harley 1200 sportster.
In high school my dad and I rebuilt a (very modified) 1955 Jaguar, which will someday be mine. My brother has a 1966 Corvette that we often end up working on when I visit. There are also 2 RX-7 SCCA race-cars in the family, and my dad has quite a fleet of interesting cars.
And don't forget my blog

Thanked: 20I currently own a 92 sunbird, but in my defense it's the 2.0L overhead cam with 5spd manual, so its not as wimpy a car as it seems. ok, yeah it is, and bits fall off if I slam the doors too hard. but it owes me nothing and it gets from A to B, more or less.
I also have a mostly 1980 IH Scout Terra (pickup) 345ci .040 over-bore 4 barrel carb and running on LPG. I say mostly because the engine and chassis are from a 1980, but the axles and 727 auto are from another truck or three. its currently parked with a seized engine, and in this economy no one is looking for toy trucks and I don't expect to have the cash to get it back on the road. but it was a fun truck while I drove it! real head turner, but only cause they are so $#%@#$% ugly! miss that thing. was dreaming of getting fiberglass body panels for it and doing a chevy 5spd manual conversion.

98 VW GTI VR6 over here. Current mods are H&R Race suspension, Intake, 2.5" downpipe back exhaust, and MSD coilpack alternative. I plan on doing getting some headwork done (bigger valves, hd springs, lightweight lifters, 268 duration cams) along with a 75 shot of nitrous this summer.

I've got a 04 Audi A4 I'm working on right now doing a stage 4 turbo setup on a 1.8t bored out to 2.0l with forged internals. I'm also working on shaving the engine bay for the smooth look like a hot rod. Also just picked up a 96 mk3 gti vr6 that I'll be working on when the Audi is up and running in a few weeks.
