I like guns.
Only reload for the Sharps (BPCR) and use the Lyman 310 tool.
Used to reload .45 ACP but got away from little guns many years ago.
When the CMP runs out of .30-06, I'll have to set up for that round.
Stay safe,
LG Roy

Thanked: 1936Cool! Now you can spend another 300 making it "your own". Lets see: extended beavertail, match barrel, hammer, trigger, well, the list goes on and on what you CAN do to a 1911. Love mine and the wife who got it for me several years ago for b-day.
BTW, I see you own a couple Reaperwear t-shirts from your tagline...or at least have visited the site.Last edited by ScottGoodman; 04-13-2010 at 04:12 PM.

Thanked: 31i think that one is going to stay just like that and its going to rest in one of 2 places my drop leg holster or either a shoulder holster .....besides if i can qualify on the militarys crappy M9 i can do just fine with that the way it sits maybe have trigger pull lightend to the point where its only about a 2lb pull (if thats possible to do) heavy trigger pull drives me nuts...just wanted something simple, reliable, and with plenty of punch.....now if that was a glock it would be another story it takes all sorts of stuff just to get them to shoot as well as that 1911 will without doing anything to it

Thanked: 1936You'll find that the hammer will "catch on everything". Back in the late 80's-early 90's we had both, but I'm a gun nut and loved them all. Heck, you could be using the M9 that I qualified with in the 90's...you never know...

Thanked: 31great its got one of those hammers...the catch everything that could possibly slow down your draw hammer......by the way some of those M9's look i belive it. some of them are just beat to hell and back...its a wonder they still shoot....my last base we actually had a good hand full of GAU and GUU rassault rifles....so glad they put a fwd assist on the M-4's they shouldnt of taken away full auto for 3rd burst though.........what do you think about the new SCAR-H and ACR???

Thanked: 1936Out of my price range, but still cool. No experience with them though, only what I read. The older and more time proven (ar10 excluded) battle rifles are my interest now days for my collection. I have to say that my current fav in the safe (it's no queen though) is the 458 Socom. It's my go to until I manage to acquire a m1a or ar10. My favorite cartridge is the 308, it is accurate, has range, plenty of power, and still mild enough to not wear you out shooting it...

Thanked: 1936I had a friend waaaay back in highschool that his dad had one from uncle Sam. It had that nice little rotation switch. It was a sweet rifle to shoot and real, I mean real cool to shoot after rotating that switch. I've got all the goodies for three shot for one of my ar's...it's just at another location per ATF. I am really fond of three shot over full, but that's me and what I've seen. I'm sure there are instances that rock and roll would be helpful and could even save lives...it's just that a 20, 30, or even 40 rounder wouldn't last very long. I'd want to slow down the rate of fire. If I were to want a full auto, I do think it would be one of the ak style rifles...they are slow and manageable AND actually reliable. Accuracy isn't there, but the dang things will go bang when you pull the trigger.
