You guys would love an M1A, so sweet! I remember the old .45's we used to have, you could shake them and here them rattle, but damned if they didn't shoot! Your .45 for 300$ is damn nice, especially considering the price. Have fun with it.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Nice find for only $300! I too am a reloader. I reload primarily for cowboy action shooting & IDPA. +1 on the Dillon 550, it really cranks out the rounds and it is practically unbreakable (and if it does break, who cares, with the No BS warranty). It's great to see so many people on here that have so much in common!

Nice .45!
Up until a couple years ago I reloaded 30-06, 303Brit, 7.62x54r, .243, 6mmBR, 308win, 38special, maybe one or two others that I can't remember now. Then I got married. Then I got a house and a mortgage. In a town without a friggin' rifle range, for pete's sake.
In short, my guns and reloading gear have been collecting dust for a couple years. I miss it.

Thanked: 31if you go to a big gun show im sure you can find someone thats a member of a private shooting range and maybe get a chance to become a member or atleast get to go shooting one day. you know if you get all the stuff out and crank out 200 rnds you will have a good excuse to go find a range
i like watching the cowboy action shooting its always very entertaining.
and yea that dillion press is super nice.
i actually have my old man keeping an eye for a good deal on an M1A he said he saw one at a a gun show just the other day and said the guy was wanting 2100$ !!!!! i dunno what that guy is smoking on but he needs to put it down. you can order a brand new one for 1300-1700$.....I know they are not cheap but im looking in the 1000 or just under price range. it doesnt have to be pretty just has to shoot strait and not jam

Do you know about the Civilian Marksmanship Program? You can buy military surplus m1's and other rifles. They are exactly your description, not pretty, but shoot straight. The price is nice too, as most are between $400 - $1000. You just need to prove that you belong to a CMP approved club (they have a list of clubs for the entire country and there's bound to be one close to you). Give it a try. Just Google Civilian Marksmanship Program, and you'll find it.

Thanked: 31i went and looked it up your looking at M1 garand not an M1A... 2 different rifles while i do like the M1, the M1A is better suited for sustained precision fire without wearing down the shooter as fast

Sorry, I didn't realize they didn't have the M1A (It's been a while since I've looked at their site). I hope you find one soon.
