Started the day with black coffee and one of these Davidoff Winston Churchill "Spitfire's" a little 38x4
Finished the day with a Cuban Punch Regional Edition release for Portugal in 2011. This box was a gift a few years ago and is smoking perfectly right now.

Thanked: 3Just got back from my 1 week honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas. Amazing beaches. I really went for broke and stayed at the nicest resort I've ever been to. You know the first thing I did when I got there was grab a cuban. All the street vendors and markets were selling fakes. I trusted the 5 star hotel I was staying at to stock real cubans. I started with a cohiba. Man, I really hope it was a fake because I was super disapointed with the way it smoked. I mean the tobacco tasted okay, nothing special. But the draw was super tight. So much I was running out of breath puffing this thing. 26 bucks down the drain. I was a bit tipsy already, but the construction seemed fine. The band, as far as I could tell seemed fine. I really wanted it to be a fake, but I doubt the hotel I was staying at would try to pull a stunt like that considering it's prestig.
The next night I went back and tried a romeo and julieta. I thought maybe something was wrong with their humidor, so I grabbed a stick that was in its own tin container. This one turned out really good. But for 42 bucks, I wasn't that impressed. I'd say it was comparable to some of the opus x's I've had. I'm pretty sure the cost was due to the hotel hiking up the price but even still, I can say that cubans I tried didn't live up to the hype.
I'm having a undercrown Toro tonight. Way better than the cohiba cuban, slightly less complex in flavor compared to the romeo y julieta.

Bummer on the Cohiba man, I've had a couple of cigars that were rolled too tight but they were somewhat lower end than that, actually 1 i recall was a Romeo. Sucks
