20% is pretty good.
Tonight I'm smoking an early Christmas present. A friend got me a hurfador with 5 CAO America sticks in it and a CI torch. In return I gave him the lockjaw 7 from Asylum 13.

I started the family visits yesterday with a Partega paired with Makers Mark. I finished the day with a Cohiba Beehike, a belly full of food and more Makers Mark. A nice addition to family visits.

🎆 This has been a great day. A birthday present from a very dear friend arrived from New York city today.
A box of Diplomaticos 3's rolled in 2000 which I just put into a jar humi. I just finished one and remember why Diplomaticos have always been my favorite Habanos cigar regardless of the vitola.

Used to smoke cigars but only bought one at a time. With no humidor, how long does a cigar last before it changes for the worse?
Just leaving out in the room it will dry out in a couple of days. You don't have to spend lots on money on a Spanish cedar humidor. A well sealed Rubbermaid box will do. As long as the air and moisture are sealed you can have a week or two. If you get a small portable humidifier jar you are up to a month or more. Dry air and too hot/cold are the enemy of cigars. If you control temp and humidity correctly they can last 50++ years.
There are still legal Cuban cigars in the USA from before Castro. People just made sure to take care of them. I can only dream of winning the lottery so I can enjoy the odor of one being smoked. :gl:
If you live close to a good cigar store you have the best world. Someone else pays to keep the humidity and temperature right. You just walk in, but what you want and enjoy. None of the worry

Well... I went on a bit of a tear over the weekend ordering summer sticks. I seem to do this every winter so that the sticks are rested enough for the "summer savoring" :).

Got some of these - for some reason, these just do it for me. You should try one!
Attachment 189556
Just had to try one being I am a Drew Estate whore and all :). 2 hours they say - that should cover the front nine.
Attachment 189557
Got some of these too - actually, they came free with my order. I like the Nub Habano.
Attachment 189558
Got a box of these - I recall I really like the V line. And as you may note, I like 4x60's too. So though I never had a 4x60 V, I thought I would take the chance. They are pretty reasonably priced.

Got this for those times I go visiting, and need something "special." Bought some extra robustos in natural and maduro so I wouldn't be tempted to open up this puppy prematurely. :)
Attachment 189562
Picked this up for the same reasons as above. Truly an under-rated cigar - got some robusto's as well for the same reason as above as well lol.
Now... I need some Liga's, some... lol. Should be a fun summer.
Wish you all lived closer so we could enjoy em together!!
Smoked most over 25 years....here's what I'm smoking now. Attachment 189570
So with that order, did you leave anything for the rest of us??:beer1:
You have reminded me that I am overdue to make a similar order for myself.
Enjoy all those flavors!
CAO LaTraviata what can I say

How is the CAO LaTraviata?
I find them very consistent in quality and flavor.
Not really spicy or strong, more medium and earthy, some hint of salt occasionally. I have had a couple more aged that were fantastic.I don't however tend to keep them around so long because i like them so much :)
Probably not a very good review. I'm more pass/fail kinda guy :)

1996 visiting my brother before heading to Germany for my second duty station. We had our shirt pockets crammed full of good cigars and accoutrements.
I am smoking a "Fallen Angel" for the first time waiting for the funeral to begin. It'll be my first military funeral in the US. I really don't want to go in.

I like the cigar, not the circumstance. :)
Enjoying a parts a before a family event. It is about 25 degrees here but the cigar is well worth it
