The Cigar Fairy came to my house :)

I just made a small order to fill my humidor. Some CAO Robusto's, some Nub 460's and Nub 460's Habano's. Not everything I try to keep on hand but a modest start to restock.
Romeo y Julieta Romeo No.1.
I don't like No.2 and 3, but No.1 are really good tasty cigars.

Nice fairy :)! I would love to hear your thoughts on that Illusione 68. I bought a box of those suckers never having had one because... well, I have never had a bad Illusione. I didn't like it ROTT, but they have been resting for about a year now... we'll see.
I have really enjoyed some CAO's and Nubs in my day. I like the CAO MX2 quite a bit, but love the Criollo. Though I can't seem to get them anymore :(
It'll be in the 60's here this weekend brother! I'll be golfing and smoking tomorrow :)!!
I don't know ROTT ??
The only CAO i see here is La Traviata and OSA but I'll be on the lookout for a Criollo :)
Yep, damned nice fairy that was :tu
Seriously jealous about the temps there though, freakin cold here brrrrr . 7 degrees :(
Yeah the temps are getting nice. I am sure they'll dip again, but we get these nice breaks now and again. Nice enough to golf.
With respect to the CAO Criollo, I bought a box on a whim one day when I was getting back into cigar smoking. I recall lighting the thing and just being completely blown away! It was just awful! I smoked another and thought I would have to give em away. But as my stash of other cigars diminished, I began smoking them again.
What I learned was that though this cigar didn't taste like anything I was used to, it was really good. Now I love em :).

If you don't have expectations that'll be like the others - you'll love it :).
ROTT = Right off the Table or Right off the truck. Sorry about that!
Ramón Allones Superiores - LCDH Exclusivo 2010.

I've been wanting to try the UZI and nub for years now. But my humi is too small and I don't smoke often enough to need to reorder. And because the humi is small, when I reorder, I usually just stick to my tried and proven favorites. I had an undercrown 2 days ago, I might fancy another when I get off work later.
Anyhow, just stopping by to say hi. I'm a new member. But it seems like this place likes straight razors and cigars, so I think I'll fit right in.
Thank you for the warm welcome. I have some old pictures of stuff I've tried.

Clearly your not smoking daily allows you to enjoy the finer sticks offered. Nice!
Cute dog! (We have a thread for those too :) BTW)
Well I got 9 in today. Wasn't a bad round at all considering I haven't played since October - Even had a birdie on one hole. Woot!

MOW - Golfing Gar for the day.
Well, this cigar has been resting for about a year... and I haven't found its helped. I had high hopes for the Side Projects, but they just aren't for me.
Those AJ Fernandez made cigars are really consistently good. My first love was the Ave Maria brand. You really can't go wrong with anything AJ Fernandez makes.

Taste great too!
I think you'd love em :tu
Legado de Pepin...
I bought a box of these puppies:

Awesome Packaging
I don't mind these Puro's at all. But the Side-Projects... have you had any of the Side Projects Yardie?
Oliva O Bold Robusto
An Indian summer or Chinook as they are sometimes called, has taken hold of the climate here for the past couple of days... Perfect cigar / dog walking weather. Dog and Nub in hand, we set off.

The Nub was a pleasure. It had been resting for over a year which translated to a smooth smoking cigar that left just a hint of oil on the lips, earth on the tongue, and the perfect amount of red pepper on the retrohale.
The dog never did go... I am sure he'll wake me at 3. But I note that even after a 35 minutes, I am only beginning to get to the half way mark on my Nub.

I let the dog in the house and enjoy another ten minutes with the stick before turning in. What can I say, I like the short robustos.
Yep
The Tobaconist here in town has raised prices again :(
Taxation of sinners here is ridonkulous
What I buy in Ky for $6.99 is at last check $21.99
And probably higher today.
So much for free healthcare huh?
lol
'Free' healthcare...isn't.
I haven't tried actually ordering from an online source stateside but i would think that anything marked Tobacco at customs would carry a hefty duty tax. :(
I didn't realize you were in Canada. You guys have access to Cubans.
:)
Yup
:)
I've heard the same. Other countries have stepped up their game from what I heard.
The USPS was good to me today :).

My Father is in my regular rotation. Probably my favorite at the moment. What site are you ordering from?
I got this batch from Cigars International (CI). I think overall, I end up buying more from Famous Smoke (at least from their auction site anyway), but I couldn't find the Don Pepin Blue there so... and I love me my Don Pepin Blue :). I am kind of mad at myself for not putting the free cutter in my cart they were offering on orders over $125, but hey - I really didn't need it.
Actually, now that I think about it, I ordered from CI this time not only for the Blues, but Famous had a different sampler for the Quesada as well. I really wanted this Quesada Winter Sampler as all the sticks in it are mini robusto's - 4" x 50's. I like that size... That and Famous didn't have any of the Drew Estate Herrera Esteli Norteno in 5 x 50 left either. I have never had one, but I am really looking forward to it.
Sorry for the ramble...
