    Ashton LX circa 1989 Pebble Shell with patent number. Bill Taylor took pipes with nondescript grain and rusticated them to form a pattern and then sand blasted them. This was not his practice with Pebble Grain marked pieces which were totally sand blasted and didn't have a patent number, with rare exceptions.

    Maybe as a tattoo artist you can understand that when I look at a rusticated/sandblasted pipe I think of a peacock or a black panther tattoo.

    They are put on to cover something up.

    In most respects, I would tend to agree. I think this makes a perfect home defense gun, i.e. bedroom gun. Small, maneuverable, easy to shoot, red dot and light. For others in the house that are not as familiar or practiced with shooting pistols, this can easily be fired very accurately and up to a thirty round magazine.

    A little C & D Exclusive in the Castello outside work pipe along with the outside work lighter. Finished my yard work and sitting on the back porch smoking the same, again.

    @Thug

    Nice grain. Pokers are handy working at the bench.

    Nice score!

    Some Peter Stokkbye "Proper English" in the Capri freehand. Got 50 rounds of .38 Special and .44 Special loaded in my newly constructed reloading room, so I celebrated with a pipe out on the swing.
