I had to step in and save all you girlie-men from your aromatics. :-P
G.L. Pease "Westminster" in a very fine Karl Erik given to me by my friend Holli4Pirating a few weeks ago for my birthday. A special tobacco in a very special pipe, and a lovely Sunday afternoon.

Thanked: 0First timer here, what would be a good first pipe? I've smoked cigars before, and often enjoy good ole backwoods cigars. ha ha. would it be a terrible idea to purchase a "cheapy" pipe from a local drug store? My step father often smokes captain black pipe tobacco, what are you'r opinions here guys?

Youngbuck, do you have a local smoke shop that carries pipe tobacco and such? I would honestly say get your self a corn cob (Missouri Meerschaum preferably) for one because they really don't need to be broken in like a briar does and two they are cheap (just in case it's not something you like, you won't be out the price of a higher end pipe). As far as the tobacco goes, if you have a smoke shop in your area, go in and sniff around lol. I know that sounds kinda funny but imho its not a bad idea. If not, there a lot of places online where you can get samples, justforhim.com for example. If I had to pick just one tobacco to get you started it would be Lane 1Q, but thats just me. It's nice and mellow, just a good all around smoke. Now, on to todays pipes.....
Pipes: TRG Christmasapple, TRG PCBLovat, Nording Wax Drip Freehand
Tobaccos: Lane 1Q, Boswell Northwoods, Black Cavendish (Don't remember whos )
