Thanks. I will be visiting in Germany with my wife this year or the next. With my bike or car. There are so many places i've always wanted to see. Leipzig is one of them. Duisburg is another - a home of the toughest man ever walked on earth - Horst Schimanski
Please do not buy all these pipes before i get a change to visit there too.
Damn last year we were in Gdansk Poland and i found the old small tobacco store in the railway station. The lady behind the desk was such a beauty that i just bought everything she wanted to sell me - Da Vinci tobacco. Now as i remember there were many pipes too but for previous reasons i forgot them all.
Thanks for 1OldGI and Oldschooltools for the nice reviews as well. Probably they are another brands not too easy to find from EU but it is always nice to read someone finding interesting aspects of any fine tobacco.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

BTW,
the new Pipe of the Year 2011 by Vauen the dealer sells for 169-189 Euros.
Other Pipes of the year in the past had the same price.
And the tool-box with the pipe-lighter is also a good deal.
Give me a message about your vacation in Germany and let's spend some time together in Dresden and/or Leipzig.
Tabacco I have enough for us!

Thanked: 1185For the serious latakiaphile, C&D Mountain Camp is also a good bet. Certainly not a crowd pleaser though, room note smells like a roof being redone or a long stretch of road being repaved. Not one of my favorites but then again, anything much over 10% Latakia seems to give me the "latakia hangover" the next day. Symptoms include severe heartburn (waking up with bile half way up my neck), breath like I dined at the cat box and a full feeling in my chest, like a gorilla is standing on it. A shame really because were it not for the after effects, I'd very much enjoy heavy latakia blends. Due to this condition however, I lean toward the codger burlies (of which OJK is a great example). I also enjoy the real old school blends (i.e. Prince Albert, Half and Half, Carter Hall, etc.) Lately, I've burned a whole bunch of this Edwards aromatic, Honey/Bucc (a blend of two of their blends called Honey Cavendish and Buccaneer (a toasted cavendish.) This is one of the blends I started out with when I was 15. It's a good social blend as the room note is really nice but at the same time, it has enough body that you feel like you're actually smoking something. It's not sickly sweet and bitey, like most aromatics and is really rather enjoyable in limited quantities. However, as is the case with most aromatics, it falls well short of the RDA for vitamin N and I've either got to smoke a stouter pipe tobacco periodically or supplement my vitamin N intake with a big rub of Grizzly Snuff. The tobacco barge should be here for the weekend and I'll likely burn the hell out of some OJK.
The older I get, the better I was
