IMHO, you do not need many pipes to be happy with. But if you are about to smoke tobaccos that are too different from each other, then you should have at least couple of them.
Specially listen to the wise words of Thomas. I wouldn't suggest smoking both Latakia and candy (deeply aromatized) tobaccos in the same pipe. The resulting taste might be interesting, but not the way you expect
Anyways. Early morning pipe after coming home from 24hr shift at work. Hamburger Veermaster (not beermaster) from Oldenkott Skagerrak. Veermaster (not beermaster) is tasty and mild straight VA flake. Somewhat at the same category that blue Capstan.
I've been using my outdoor pipe smoking moments by watching the winter life at the bird feeders i've made for winter. Sometimes you get even unexpected visitors. Surely it's better than watching TV.

Well just for giggles I eMailed Dave at Walker Briar Works just to see how many Nose Warmer Cobs have been sold sence he has started making them... Here is his reply:
"Hi Phil,
It's good to hear from you. I hope all is well with your world.
We have sold 34 Nose Warmers including yours. Not really a barn burner, but a whole bunch more than I ever thought we'd sell. We have a "Long Nose" Warmer now too with a shorter Churchwarden stem. We've actually sold a few of those. :-) Life is good.
I love the praise in the Forums. It's wonderful advertising, but seeing our work being praised "in print" is even better. I love cob pipes with descent stems, and I guess I'm not along. Thank you for your input too, Phil.
Thanks for your email. Take care, and keep on puffin' on them cobs :-)
Regards,
Dave"
I also included a link to this thread so he could run through it to see what us folks have to say...
