Sitting at the blacksmith shop enjoying my cob with an English Wales tobacco with a nice glass of micro brewed beer that was brewed here in the shop. I love my job :-D
Happy Friday everyone

I have mostly Brighams, yes. I feel the older ones are much better quality than the new one I bought. The fit and finish, the aluminum tenon and the overall feel of the pipe is much nicer on the estate pipes I have vs. the new one. I have three 2-dots (the one I restored, one I bought new and one that was NOS) and the older ones are, without a doubt, nicer pipes. Check out before-n-after-pipes on Ebay, who often gets nice Brighams for very reasonable prices. That's where I got my most of mine, including the 4-dots, which are very nice. The other Brigham I have is my grandfather's Sportsman 2-dot, which is out being restored and should be back next week. That makes 7 in total, at which point I think I'm going to stop with Brighams.

Thanked: 3Started the morning off with some Carter Hall in a cob, coffee on the side. This is my morning no nonsense starter. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'm not sure. Being fairly new to the whole pipe tobacco thing, I asked my local tobacconist for a good starter non aromatic tobacco and this is what he directed me to. I bought two ounces of the stuff from one of the big jars in the shop.

Just got three unopened tins of 94 year old Prince Albert
One I've opened, the one in the middle, since the tax stamp was damaged on both sides. I'll rehydrate enough for a few bowls and compare it to modern Prince Albert, using two virgin clay pipes. The other two tins I'll squirrel away somewhere, maybe open in 2018 for the 100 year anniversary of WWI Armistice. Or sell, whichever
