Thanked: 1185To my tastes, Carter Hall is Prince Albert Light and FWIW is a bit too mild for my tastes as well. PA is a bit plain by comparison to some of the modern stuff but for some reason has always struck me as very satisfying and very serviceable. Granger has the same "plain but satisfying" quality as PA. For fullness I would say that Granger is probably only slightly stouter than PA but not nearly as full as OJK.

The time is getting close for me to satisfy my need for a new pipe. I'm looking at all the pipe stores I can online and was wondering if anyone knew some good sites for pipes or had a pipe they've always wanted but haven't purchased yet. I need suggestions.
Right now I'm enjoying some FVF in my Peterson System Pipe.God be in my head and in my understanding. God be in my eyes and in my looking. God be in my mouth and in my speaking. God be in my heart and in my thinking. God be at my end and my departing. -Amen

There is Smokers' Haven in Columbus, Ohio. I used to buy GBD pipes from them when I attended college in Ohio.
Today I purchase my pipes online primarily from SmokingPipes and Pipes and Cigars. I think SmokingPipes has a larger selection at a slightly better price.
I hope that this information helps.

Our local pipe shop is The Briar Patch, and I have purchased two pipes from their shop. They also sell pipes online at briarpatch.biz. Their tobaccos are pricey due to California taxes on tobacco, but their pipes seem reasonable. Also, check out tobaccopipes.com. That's where I got a Vauen.

Thanked: 1160Yes...let's do that.Those look yummmy !!
I hope everytime you smoke that stuff that it inspires you to read mysteries and ghost stories...that would be a neat tradition.
Well obviously I will suggest a Viking because I am sold on them. And Pipes and Cigars has them on sale right now for dirt cheap. Seriously can't go wrong with a Viking.Come along inside,We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a betterplace.~TheWind in the Willow~
