Tonight's bowl was "Shortcut to Mushrooms" in a mini bent basket briar while I grilled chicken and burgers watching the kids ride their bikes in the driveway.
A fine start to the day indeed. Irish Flake is one heck of an early morning blend especially with a strong dark roast coffee.
My pipe of the day was a Whitehall Grand National

Got a story to write that I'm less than thrilled with so I best get after it. Ciao!
There's a widely held belief that is fairly well supported in history that suggests most writers are lunatics. Coincidentally, I have the double whammy. I'm not only a writer, I'm a veteran as well. Throw in a handlebar mustache and let's just say I don't get harassed much at work.
Just arrived at the pipe ckub so will likely sample a few this afternoon.

There was 'most exciting' 'sport event' ever going on in the city. Rubber duck race. Charity event, actually.
Part of the 784th anniversary of the city. The city privileges were given at 1229 although there's been colonazation and some sort of fortress much longer here.
Actually some folks were playing unknown amount of money for their ducks. But as the wind direction went here and there so finally there was no winner at all and fire dept had to dig up all the rubber ducks from the river. All the money went for charity.
