Nope...never been there. But we have a fellow here Named Don who is Portuguese American and I have semogue brushes and I've made the soup and luuuuuv the wine. Don has shown me pictures of a family cottage over there and I have remarked to him many a time how beautiful it looks there.

Besides football Portugal is pretty often in the news and document channels here. Just like any other European country and more. Places like Lisboa and Algarve are popular places to go on vacation.
Although i'm not a cigar smoker, i've heard that they make pretty good cigars in Azores.

They make the cigar in the Madeira island not in the Azores. The brand they make is Beldina and the picture i posted as one of those.

There are some lovely white sand beaches, i´m fortunate to have a little family house near one of the beaches in the Ericeira area:

NunoSa, looks beautiful there. Nightblade, love your food pics. I've gotta share a meal with you someday.

Enjoying some Mellow Mallard in a Nording during the lunch hour on this nice, breezy afternoon. The label says "aromatic," but it's not. This is a straight up Virginia blend that is very good. Happy Friday to you all.

Sat in the garden with my good wife. Drank some cider and had a couple of bowls of presbyterian in my corn cob.

Also burnt a load of old paperwork in the chimnea.
