I can't stress enough to the new guys here how awesome a cob can be and how you should have at least one in your arsenal. They are the best kept secret.Cheap and super easy smokers right from the word go. I really don't smoke mine enough . And for all the wisenheimers who make fun of you when you do smoke a cob...nuts to them. Fine I'm "Popeye" or "Frosty" take your pic ha ! Still a damn good smoke.

I think one of the reasons that I'm so into cobs is; All of the snobs that are against cobs... At one point I thought that a $500.00 Dunhill was the way to go, not that I ever owned one...
And then...
Dr. Grabow came along... Even for a nice simple pipe it was finicky...
And then...
Missouri Meerschaum came along... Doing some reading and learning that a cob is the best way to sample tobacco, (disposability), I learned that they were NOT finicky and were one of the easiest pipes to smoke...
Stuff, light and smoke...
Don't get me wrong, I still like my Briars, but I'll pick up a cob 90% of the time...Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...

On the porch with some Dunhill VA flake in the basket "Baby". Got done a little while ago with a marathon reloading session, so before I eat and start outside chores figured I'd have a puff or 3.

Speaking of MM Cobs, the cooler weather is increasing my motivation for a good smoke. So I pulled out two perennial performers, Cobosaurus Rex and Old Joe Krantz
