    i love the conversation in this thread..

    and i love the turtle stew as well.. havn't had any in years..

    I love snappers there a really tought animal, Right now one of the guys i get my shells from has one that s shell is almost as big around as a 55 gal drum I really want that shell once its occupent is dead. That will make the best turtle shell clock yet.

    That turtle is probably 100 or more years old... do you really think a clock is the best way to preserve its legacy? I'd just bury the old snapper with a De Profundis and figure I'd save $5 on self adhesive decals...

    I like your idea but we would need a really cuped shell to do that so there is very little shapping since most shells arnt too thick but that would look awsom .
