    Default trapping

does anyone on here trap or know someone that does, I d like to see just out of curiosity how many of you support trappers, as they are a valuble wildlife management tool, Also does anyone think that fur prces need t go up so more people get involved with trappign and we can stop buying chinese farmed fur and instead have wild fur ( which in my openion has a more nature look to the pelts)

I had a cousin that trapped muskrat, but that was probably 15 years ago now.

Right here brother!! It would be nice to see the fur prices go up, Just pray that Russia has a cold winter and that alone will boost prices. China is still the biggest player and if they figure out how to dress beaver, that alone will help with prices. Remember that Wild Fur is GREEN and a natural, renewable source. Overseas they love it !! And the worlds best wild fur comes from right here in our back yard call North America!!

I don't trap or know anyone who does but I did braintan buckskins a few years ago. That's a lot of work.

I do support trapping if they use the animals remains and not just litter the ground with it "feeding the coyotes" after taking the "good stuff".

There are a couple of states here in the USA where trapping is banned, Massachusetts and Colorado, i will have to do some research to see if there any others, and of course i would not live in those states!!
