I was looking for who did a song that I have on my computer but had failed to file it with the performers name so I was looking around at YouTube and stumbled upon this.
Forgive me my brothers as I just had to post it!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Through the years I've found that songs can say a lot more than just words. They impart emotions from the performer. While very short I've often sent this to friends and loved ones a bit later in the year.
This is one of the saddest songs I know of. I'd heard it but my wife hadn't and we were only about 10 miles from the Canadian Border when it came on the radio. It wasn't long until she was crying uncontrollably. Our daughter was in the back seat directly behind her and she undid her seat belt and leaned forward to hug her from behind.

Absolutely love this song - thanks for sharing this version. If you haven't heard it, the version on his Live 1975-85 box set is stunning. Long intro that still sends shivers down my spine when I hear it.
The box set came out just before Christmas 1986, and I still remember going with my buddy on Boxing Day to buy it. We took a bus downtown, but all the record stores there were sold out, so we started walking down Portage Avenue, one of the main streets in Winnipeg, hitting every record store on the way. Finally, we each found copies at Polo Park mall. It's only about five or six kilometers, but we were 15, it was COLD, and it seemed like the most epic quest. We still talk about that day, and I can still picture us sitting triumphantly in a restaurant, trying to warm up, and reading the liner notes. I still listen to it on a regular basis. Beautiful stuff. Some people wouldn't go back to being a teenager for a million bucks. But I miss days like that.
