    Default Vintage TV

How about animal shows? Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, Flipper. Gotta love The Lone Ranger, F Troop. Remember when Batman was shown in color (our neighbors had the first color tv on the block)? Progressive variety show: Laugh-In. Well, it's past my bed time. I'm just going to take my Geritol and hit the hay!

The twilight zone. Absolutely perfect in every way. The prisoner was also really good. As far as comedies; Get Smart and of course the stooges.

"I Remember Mama" It was one of the first shows we watched when we got our first TV.~1951 or so. And of course the Hamm's Beer cartoon ads with the bears! And "Tom Corbet Space Cadet," "Captain Video," Some of Ed Sullivan's shows and, unfortunately, my folks had to watch "Lawrence Welk"

PS. An uncle and his family stopped for a visit on their way out west to live..They said about four words and immersed themselves in the TV. We didn't see them again for years!

this reminded me of a question... in the lone ranger.. tanto is spanish for idiot.. so when he would refer to the lone ranger as kemosabe.. was he really saying "que no sabe?".. which i think is like calling someone a know it all..
