That is what hailed the "new" pen onto the market, Carbon Copy and multi page copies, FP's just have a heck of a time dealing with em. However there are a few pens and more notably Nibs that deal with it just fine. Sheaffer's Triumph nib was dubbed "the Nail" because it had the stifness needed to do hard writing and not damage the nibs as it would many of the finer nibs out there at the time. But the ball point was "easy way out" and the fall of the FP was asured.

I got into FP's to get away from the deathgrip I used to write all the time. Now my hand is relaxed and I can write a letter that is more than a few words long without my hand cramping up
