I'd like to mix things up a bit.

I'm recommending either Paderno OR KitchenAid.

I've not had a Peugot that grinded the way I liked. They may very well last a lifetime, however, I like my pepper big....just like if you put some peppercorns on a cutting board and hit them with a cast iron pan.

The Paderno grinders are classy, and can sit on the dining room table.
The KitchenAid grinders are functional, black, and are just awesome!

nun2sharp, good luck in your choice....just make sure you can return whatever you don't like

I took my Peugeot pepper mill with me when I left Belgium nearly 8 years ago. Still going strong. I'm with Gugi. I only fill small quantities at a time and keep the rest vacuum wrapped until needed.

I bought a Peugeot and the stupid thing is always getting clogged. I use high quality peppercorns, and find myself turning the thing upside down and knocking the end with my hand so I can actually get the grind out. The customer service wasnt exactly helpful either.

Its highly recommended, but perhaps I just received a dud.

Peugeot all the way, just like anything you may find a dud, but every peugeot I've used is awesome.

Got it and I must say it works great.
It take a lot of pepper grinds easy and plenty.
Some reviewers say it is easy to open when grinding, but I have never had a problem.
    +1

I have had mine for years, no issues no matter what type of peppercorns I put in it

Peugeot with a ceramic grinder. (They make metal grinders as well, but the ceramic one is really nice.)

They do grind finer with a small adjustability but I like mine alot.

We have a Peugeot as well. Got it for my wife a few years ago and she loves it.

I should have known that SRP would be the place for a refined pepper mill discussion!
