Thanked: 30Frankly, you read what they wanted you to read. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist (which I am not) but the FDA did not have one thing to say about them until the gained oversight on tobacco products. Then all of a sudden they were dangerous with a "scientific" paper that, under scrutiny, proved them to be as dangerous as the FDA approved nicotine patch. That patch has the same carcinogens at the same or higher level than their electronic cigarette liquid report. Yes, they did their study on the liquid directly, not what actually get inhaled.
If you do not actually understand what you are reading, don't trust those who will lose money to interpret the results for you. Since its not FDA regulated like the patch, and its cigarettes themselves, the FDA gets none of the e-cig taxes.Last edited by LameBMX; 04-16-2012 at 12:28 AM.

For what it is worth I smoked a pack a day. Merit Menthol. I switched to Volcano Lava Tube, variable voltage unit. Anyway, I loved it then upgraded to a Provari Mini. Supposed to be the cadillac of units. Workmanship is amazing. Very pleased.
I don't do it for health, but for price. E-liquid is cheap. Maybe $25 a month compared to $50 a week for a carton?Bill

Thanked: 2Any ecig users?
Any of you guys vape with an ecig? If so what's your setup?
I quit smoking more then 4 months ago and switched over to an ecig and haven't had a cig since!
I no longer smell like shit, got my sense of smell and taste back.. no more cig ash everywhere.. and best of all I don't have to go out side any more to have a cig.
I am currently running an EGO-t with a NOVA 2.0 ml tank and a 1.8 ohm head
also have a Suppressor mod with a nova 3.5 ml tank running a 2.4 ohm head at 4.1 volts.. I switch it up quite often tho.

Not an ecig user myself, but I recall a thread from maybe within the last year about this topic. You may have to do an advanced search, but I know it's buried somewhere within "The Conversation" or "Finer Things in Life" forum. I think there were quite a few members who have tried them, but don't know if they still use them or if they have been able to kick the nicotine habit.

Yeah sorry - old term but yeah - tobacco. I would be less impressed if you gave up "weed" than tobacco. Tobacco is a bugger and way harder to give up than pot... or so I have been told lol.
Seriously - congrats!David

Thanked: 5Being new to SR's,DE's and now e cigs I'm glad to find this thread. I recently ( 1 week ago) picked up an Ego kit and a sampling ( 8 bottles) of various flavors at my local smoke shop. I've been a 1 1/2 - 2 pack a day cig smoker for 35 years along with being a pipe, cigar smoker and ardent dipper. It's been 3 days since I've last had a cigarette and I am now searching the web looking for a great deal on a vw/vv battery mod and a high capacity tank to take my vaping to the next level. My current setup is ok but I'm looking for a larger volume of vapor particularly on the exhale. The flavors I've been playing with are fun and now can add hunting for e juice to my other conditions RAD,BAD,SAD. etc...lol
