One of the last Concords I bought cost me a little more than $800.00-solid 18k, diamonds where numerals would be and diamond pave in the center. The watch retailed for over $4000.00, so I got a heck of a deal. I sold gold watches and custom made jewelry for a number of years back in the early 1980's so I a very familiar with many carat gold watch brands. It used to piss me off to spend 350-500+ for a plated watch only to have it worn down to the base metal after a few years. So, for me, stainless or solid gold is the only way to go.
