Well, I don't quite agree with you on that one
As far as I'm concerned, a watch is basically the only acceptable way for a man to wear jewelry, or luxury if you will.
That and a wedding band really. IMHO.
So, since I only tolerate that as jewelry on a guy, why not get something that will be with you for years to come, and that looks and feels a bit classy?
I've spent a fair bit on my watches, and have absolutely no remorse whatsoever
