I favour audio books these days, as I can listen to them in the car on the way to work and in bed at night. I've only ever tried reading a book on a digital device on my HP iPAQ (which is now long gone). Do any of the e readers allow for audio book software? I prefer audible.com for mine...or some of the free sites, like Librivox...In know this has nothing to do with what you asked, just thought I'd mention another option...

Just pre-ordered the new nook tablet today. Super geeked about it. I bought my wife the Nook color last christmas and she absolutely loves it.

I just got a new nook touch over the weekend. I'd have gone with Kindle, but it doesn't support EPUB files.
2 days in and i'm liking it..

I had a Nook Color until my wife found out she could use it for her school work. She now has her text books, pdf documents and powerpoint charts on what she now refers to as "her nook". Now that the Nook Color II will be out in a couple of days I may have to go by B&N to check one out. If you are a B&N member you can get a $25 discount of of the new Color II as well.

I've never used it, but I believe that the Kindle has audiobook capability.
