I mostly drink Makers Mark and Wild Turkey American Honey(both straight), but during the summer I also enjoy some Southern Comfort on the rocks with a few drops of concentrated lime juice. Very refreshing.

There is ginger ale and then there is Vernors. You should be able to taste
the oak. Compare and contrast with oak and maple wood aged whiskey.
A small drop or two of good maple syrup can help your buds dial in on maple
wood aged whiskey. Good whiskey only... do not settle for second tier stuff.

You gentlemen have a way of making me very thirsty, especially after a long day of PT, classes, battalion junk and field day. To crawl inside something strong and tasty would be amazing.
No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

Thanked: 0Makers Mark 46 on the rocks is my go to drink. Add in a Cuban cigar and it's as close to paradise as I will get in this life.

Thanked: 13245Mainly a Scotch&Rocks man for a night cap but I do enjoy my Makers Mark, Woodford Reserve, or my ole Buddy Jack Daniels every now and then too... I tried the Makers 46 last go round, not bad, not bad, at all but I still lean toward the standard Makers a bit more...
As I type this I am watching some Johnny Walker Black round off the edges of the chipped ice

My vice of choice is George Dickel Old #12 on the rocks with a splash of soda.
I don't however feel the need to wait until the weather turns chilly to enjoy bourbon. It's pretty much a year 'round indulgence for me.
Of course, 1OldGI has excellent taste in spirits and razors.Last edited by oldschooltools; 10-06-2011 at 03:57 AM.
