Habs take it the face AGAIN !!!! 2-1 Boston. But Price played well, and made a wicked pad stop, robbing Krejci on the doorstep,It kinda reminded me of my own goaltending talents when I was a younger lad.

Sorry for the extreme delay to respond.........
The Montreal Canadien's fan base is pretty much the entire province of Québec, which 85% use french as their daily language. The official language of Québec is actually french. The Montreal Canadien's started out as the french team of Montreal (FYI, the enlish team back in the '20s & '30s was the Montreal Maroons, which won 2 stanley cups).
People here are sad that there isn't much of a local flavor to the team anymore, there is currently only 1 francophone on a team that used to have a majority of french speakers.
So the nomination of a 100% english speaking coach is p!ssing people off big time. The french speaking fan base finds it disrespecful to them. They are the majority who keep the team alive, so they feel the coach needs to at least be able to communicate to them in their own language.
Other's have done the effort to learn the language in past, which include some of the greats that played for the organization, including Larry Robinson, Bob Gainey and Ken Dryden to name a few.
So that pretty much sums up the situation for the 100% english speaking coach & why people aren't too happy.
Personnally, I think the coach should be able to be able to communicate somehow in french. It would show that he respects the fans. But I feel real bad for the guy, he was thrown into this whole thing without knowing this would happen. It's not his fault, he's just doing as he's told. It's the GM's fault that the coach is getting criticised for not speaking french. Apparently the coach is currently taking french classes, so it looks likes like HE understood what the fans want, unlike upper management.
