Thanks for the link. I've been eyeing the 74 as well. I'm also thinking about buying an AR lower and building it up throughout the year. Hundred bucks or so for the lower and then another hundred to finish it off. Add a stock and then either piecemeal the upper or find an upper for 400-500.
End up around the same price as prebuilt but I could buy a new piece every few months . One gun. 27 purchases to get all the pieces I need.

No that pistol isn't the only thing under my kilt, but I can tell you both of them work just fine

Thanked: 1936I've got the AR in .458 SOCOM, .223, & 7.62x39. I think I'm gonna part with the 7.62x39 once I get the 6.8spc up and running. Gotta finish this Delta Elite first...

Thanked: 1936Look up Model 1 Sales: as well. They have some good stuff, great prices on complete kits less the receiver, and the finish on the uppers is good, not paint like some places. Some real good shooters as well.
I'll have to check out M&A...what's the link?Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.

shooter74743: How do you like the AR in .458 SOCOM'?

Thanked: 4942I have a Saiga AK74 and it is a fun shooter. The 5.45x39 ammo is not hard to find either. I am liking he Silver Bear as it is easier to clean. This is a keeper for me.
Have fun.

Thanked: 1936I absolutely love it. It's not a long range rifle, but the developer's "one round puts them down" logo is so true. I know of no north American game it wouldn't handle. Imagine, 45-70 ballistics in a semi-auto shooting 300 or 405 (my pet loads) grain bullets. If you don't reload, it's not a round for you though...gets pricey.

Hmm... Now to sell my Walther P22 so I can pick up an upper .
Getting slightly back on topic, here's a great idea for a fun thing to do with your Colt:
