    Be real careful about picking up your chewing gum if you drop it in the pen.

    Ain't nothing better than "yard eggs". They've got some taste to 'em.

    well i was talking to a few people i know from work and stuff and they all want eggs just as soon as they start laying so i got 8 more hens and 2 rooster from a guy i know that hatched to many the rooster were free so i figure we will have frided chicken i mean rooster later this yr and have a whole bunch of eggs to sell off to pay for the feed ( not that there eating to much right now about half a pound a day pluse produce scraps and all the bugs they can eat.

    sweet, the one farmer down the road sells them for a 1.50 a doz and hes always sold out. i figured 1.50-2.50 should help offset there feed.

    Another great way to offset the price of feed is give them all the kitchen scraps. Being omnivores they will eat anything and everything,enc each other of one gets wounded.
    Mow your lawn, they will eat all the grass clippings,have a turkey dinner? give them the carcass,they will go nuts over it.

    I was going to get some chickens last time I was at the feed store, but they didn't have a buy one get one free deal. So I decided against it
