I live a bit south of where you grew up -- off m-31 on the Lake -- but I love riding most anywhere in MI, and west MI is my fave by far.
Don't know Green Hill grocery -- probably before my time in MI.
If I had a wife/kids, Northern Lower MI would be an AWESOME place to raise a family (except for the lousy beer
)!

I remember trying to scramble up the steep snow hills to avoid getting plowed by the giant V-plows along the road of East bay. Back in those days I used to get around by hichhiking which hardley anybody does nowadays(and probably shouldn't anyway).

Nice...one of my best friends who I grew up with lives up in Mohawk in the UP. That's where I wanna die. Yeah it's too bad our poor economy blows there or I would think about headin back there.

Yeah now there ya go ....that and the swans. Torch Lake miss it....Higgins Lake definitely miss that .
