Thanked: 334I live a bit south of where you grew up -- off m-31 on the Lake -- but I love riding most anywhere in MI, and west MI is my fave by far.
Don't know Green Hill grocery -- probably before my time in MI.
If I had a wife/kids, Northern Lower MI would be an AWESOME place to raise a family (except for the lousy beer )!

Thanked: 1160I remember trying to scramble up the steep snow hills to avoid getting plowed by the giant V-plows along the road of East bay. Back in those days I used to get around by hichhiking which hardley anybody does nowadays(and probably shouldn't anyway).

Very true... but there's nothing quite as hilarious as watching a society try to cope with a few cm of snow when absolutely no one has any idea what to do.
And I'm not in any way just having a go at other countries. Some of the best snow-related entertainment can be had watching places like Toronto and the Lower Mainland.Last edited by Cangooner; 08-03-2012 at 02:54 PM.
