Huldra Arms - Ultimate Gas Piston Rifles
Watched the video in the link and had to laugh a bit. That "new" gas piston system eliminates one of the big reasons I never did like the original AR15/16 design. When they were introduced I recall the piston less gas operating system as being touted as "self cleaning". Anyone with an eye ball and another body part would think yea right, that should be "self dirtying". There is a reason FN FALs and AKs as well as others use a gas tappet system to activate the extraction/re cocking and load cycle. Only took 40 years to finally click. Took a long time too to catch up to what stock 7.62 ball could do. Anyway, a huge step in the right direction towards reliability.

cool. exercise and fun at the same time. Exercise from carrying a (very) nice toy where even the 16" versions weigh in at 13+lbs (w/out mag). 'Wish Eugene were here to talk about why the field model weighed 7.6lbs and all the new stuff is so porky. Stoner, Eagle (armalite), DPMS - the bolt groups in each weigh 2.5 lbs by themselves. Make no mistake, they're sweet. I thought recoil was actually less than the smaller chambering. 'Would just like something a bit more mobile. 'Even thought of fitting a Christiansen carbon wrapped barrel to one, but I suspect it wouldn't help that much, and w/ the porky bolt group, it would be butt heavy.

Enjoy, its sweet to play w/.
