Thanked: 102Removed what was left of the old extractor last night and snapped the new one into place. Just had to rotate it around the bolt to get a good fit.
Took it out today and road tested it. Love this little gun. Only thing to complain about now is the price of ammo.

Re: The Little .410 shotgun
Nice. That was the second firearm I owned. I got my great aunt's single.shot Winchester .22 for Christmas when I turned 7. Then for my 8th Christmas I got one of those Stevens .410s. It was a hoot.
I'm still kicking myself for trading it for a Ruger MKIII when I was a bit older but not much wiser.

The Little .410 shotgun
I've got a Stevens bolt action .410 also, I think I paid something like 35 or 40 for it. I also own my Grandfathers Savage-Stevens side by side .410. I'm a sucker for double barrel side by sides, I bought a .20 Stoeger Coach Gun that's pretty sweet shooting also.
As for a Grandad story, my Grandpa Clark, not the Grandad mentioned earlier, had a little Remington 22 that he hunted with. He would shoot ducks on the wing with it. When his eyes started aging he put a boars tusk on the 22 for a front sight. He passed before I came along. My older brother has the Remington.Last edited by freebird; 10-25-2012 at 08:16 AM.
