Thanked: 2284I have a model 94 in 32 winchester special. I got it from my grandfather when he passed away. He got it from a Bank manager from another bank. My Granfather was the Bank manager in Tillsonburg Ontario. It was promised to me for my wedding present, but Wally didnt make it. He died when I was 16. Ive had this gun for quite some time now and have never shot it. Its a pre 64, somewhere around 1917 is what the serial number corresponds with. Ive never shot it , but recently I have had a real urge to get my license so I can buy ammunition for it. Im not even sure what the stupid Canadian laws are for hand me down guns that were never registered to a previous owner. Anyways, the gun is just beautiful! I keep it more as a sentimental piece more then anything.
Heres an awesome vid on the history of the company.

32 wcf is a really sought after gun. You have a treasure there, both monetary as well as being a family heirloom!

Don't ever try one of the nicer repros or original falling blocks (Win hi-wall, low-wall or Sharps). You and your wallet will be toast. They just hop up on your shoulder & give you a sloppy wet one. I don't want to mess w/ black powder, but cartriges loaded w/ BP in those old historic pieces are so gentle in recoil you can lob 4-500g cast pills all day long in a tee shirt.

I've had me one of those shoot all week and reload on Sunday repeatin Henry rifles in .44WCF for years, good hoss back rifle, and nice balance and feel. Was a deevorce present to myself. Have shot a lot of roos, goats and steers with it caused a bit of a stir in the stockyard, as the other ringers had not seen one of these before. I have never polished it and has a nice patina.
Cheers

Henry Repeating Arms
Just bought another Winchester 94 30-30, this one circa 1973.
