Ooh Mucho Blado
nice work
but any reason why you drill & not cut just cut with a grinder or saw ??
apart from lack of the tool to do so?Saved,

I think because you lose a fair bit of material with an angle grinder, and there is not enough spacing between the razors. Especially considering that an angle grinder needs to grind in a straight line. and cannot go around corners
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

i have angle grinders, dont have metal cutting bandsaw at the moment.
i used to cut everything out with an angle grinder. i hate the sound and feel of it, but ill still use it a bit. drilling holes is just BORING (pun intended) and lazy work but doesnt take too-too long and without the noise i hate! i spend long days in the shop so its a rare break from really.
ive hacksawed parts out, drilling holes where i need to change the direction of cut and connect the holes with the hacksaw.
the hacksaw isnt noisy, just far more laborious and defeats my peaceful break time as well all the fun work begins after i get the blanks separated.
as bruno said there is also a fair bit of wasted material going this route, no matter how i cut the blanks out, once t the grinder the stock removl method generates a lot of waste! in time ill work into forging blades to minimize waste.Silverloaf
