    Yes. Yes it will.

Have I mentioned my utter lack of experience with razor grinding? Well, this may be the wonkiest bevel I have ever put on a blade, but dammit most of it now has a really nice edge.

I started with a DMT as I had left the edge way too thick, especially at the heel. Then went right through my two Nortons (325 - 1st time using that on a razor! - 1000, 4000, 8000), finally finished on one of Rezdog's awesome Haida Gwai hones.

The reason only most of it has a good edge is simply impatience. The toe needs a bit of work to get it right, and I fear the heel may never have a proper bevel simply because it will take a LOT of work to remove the steel necessary. But the way the heel curls up, I'd be happy not to worry about the last 1/4" or so. Would be good to get the rest of the edge properly into play one day though. The bevel itself is both wavy and huge on the front, straighter but even bigger on the back.

But I couldn't care less at this point. The thing actually works!

EDIT: forgot to say hats off to you guys who are able to grind razors evenly, accurately, and consistently.

Geezer, sharptonn, 32t and 7 others like this.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
