That is really very nice. I love the shape of the blade & scales. The pattern achieved on the damascus is lovely too. Awesome work! I'd be very happy to pay custom rates for a lot your work. My wife wouldn't let me right now though!

    Absolutely beautiful!
The size of the blade, in no way takes away from the gorgeous design of the damascus and the scales, imo.

    Thanks,

    Mac

    Adorable!
The shape of the closed razor intrigues me the most.
Absolutely clever design and so precise!

Funny, I thought to call this razor "Lady shaver". But then I realized that the majoritiy of straigth razor users are mens and they will have a problem with this notation

@Olivia: Thank you, especially for your fantastic natural 16.000 wet stone. With my 10.000 Naniwa and the strops I had some problems to get a smoth and sharp edge on this razor. But with your "Franken-Stone" this little pearl shaves like a devil. I tested the stone since saturday on 5 straights and all of them now exeptional razors. My favorit stone for lower grits was the Aoto, but your stone is at the highest grits not worse.
For me the best buy since a long time

I like that razor abunch, small razors are so cool, but what I really like is that you are taking blacksmithing classes and made the Damascus steel yourself! Pounding steel is fun!

No, this is a present of a friend of mine, who made the balcksmith lesson with me. We forged this steel together, enought for two mini razors. The problem is, I destroyed perhaps the other one.

    Like you can see here:

The problem was, that we dont had the time, to let this blank after the forging over night in the fire. So the steel cooled down relativelly fast and the steel was allready a little bit hardened and brittle.

Later I forget this an tried to press my sign in the shank - *crack*

Now I will try to welding this crack, but I´m not shure if it will work. But even if it work, it will be visible. So also this razor will not go for sale. Perhaps in a half or a year I can make such a damascus steel by my self. First I have to train forging with monosteels. Afer a little bit more of practice I will try my luck with damascus.
