Thanks fellas very much for all the encouragement and positive feed back.
It quite surprised me really but in a nice way.
I've just tried my best to do the best job I can with the tools I have and am happy with the result. Will be starting my next blank soon (one of Deler1um's blanks).

OK Scott will do.
Though I've only followed instructions from mentors on this site over past few years.
Places I've looked:
Stock removal - Bob Allman (great stuff)
Heat treatment - Chris Meyer, Butch, Bob (Harner)
Matters frameback - Charlie Lewis
Scales - Undreams excellent wiki video, and Charlie L
and many, many more, All nice guys I must add.
I will take pictures next time, but it's all out there on this site if you rumage around. I still got loads to get under my belt, not least hollow grinding. I will invest in some better equipment soon

Very nice work... no joke, this one has a definite high class look to it. Very well done indeed!
And Butch, you are being WAAAY too modest. I really don't want to take away from what Deckard has done here because it looks like pro work, but you are one of the guys who keeps setting the bar higher and higher for us mortals to aim for.Last edited by Del1r1um; 09-01-2010 at 11:04 PM.
