I kind of know my total spend but I have "convinced" myself that I can easily sell my gear if I were to need some quick cash...

Thanked: 284I've been doing a lot of buying/selling to try and get a small collection of razors I'm super stoked with as I figure out what I like. I guess for now at least I really don't have a desire to build a huge collection. But for sure, I've lost money in this en devour.
I did spend a lot on wood for making hone cases and such. But maybe sometime in the future I can recoup some of that At least that's what I tell myself/wife.I love living in the past...

Thanked: 2027When the supply of exotic woods is exhausted (whats in the U.S. Now) nobody will have it.
The price of High grade Gabon ebony has tripled in the past 6 mos. because the supply is running out.
African Blackwood is getting hard to find in turning sizes,real Lignum Vitae,forget about it.
The High grade African, asian, East indian woods are almost all banned from importation because the are Non-sustainable.
Martin Guitar was told they would have to leave the U.S if they persisted in using Exotics and they were fined millions for doing so.
When you find it, buy it.CAUTION

Knowledge = Power
The whole story. Not an outright ban across the board, many are export restricted, some require permits...

Thanked: 1184Well, the Earth only has so many resources. And this is what happens when they are not managed right.
