Thanked: 60Different Strokes for Different Folks
I was just wondering looking at my growing razor collection if many people use all the different types of razor in their collections regularly.
I mean do many people regularly rotate DE's, SE's, Straights, Shavettes, Kamisori's and so on? or do most stick to one or two types?
What do you do?It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness

Sure - frequently, I'll think to myself that I'm going to use a certain razor for the next shave, then quite frequently, as I go to pick it out, I'll completely change my mind and go with something else. That's the fun of having a bunch of different razors to choose from, and why I kind of stayed away from getting a 7 day set, until of course, I saw one available locally, and just had to grab it for the sake of having one. So I solved that by deciding if I wanted to use a razor from the 7 day set, and it was Thursday, well, I just use Thursday's razor.
Variety is the spice, and being able to change it up when you want it cool...

Thanked: 3226I use mostly straights with various DEs/SEs thrown in in frequently at home. Traveling it is exclusively DE, by car, or twin blade cart, by air, razors.

Thanked: 2027Not anymore,I have maybe 10 blades in my rotation, all large full hollows.
Only reason I use a diff blade for each shave is to always have a shave ready razor that maintains it's edge for a very long time.CAUTION

Like Phrank, I use whatever razor catches my eye! Ditto on soaps and creams. Spent too much of my 60+ shaving years as something which must be done SWMBD and not enjoying the process. Now for the last few years I have fun doing it!
Do what feels right for you! We are all different individuals and need space to grow!
