Default What is you favorite blade width?

I know, loaded question. So I'll word it this way. If you had the choice for a given grind, say from wedge through and to extra hollow, and you could say something along the lines of "I want a 1/4 hollow in a 7/8ths blade" or "my favorite blade is a 4/8 Dovo, full hollow" Even more generally "I like a 6/8 across the board, that size just does it for me"

    What is you favorite?

    So far,
and I have a long way to go,
it would be a 6/8 shoulderless 1/4 hollow French/Irish point.
Just the right combination of feed back, smoothness, and controll.

My go size is 1/4 grind 6/8 but I have 5/8, 7/8 and 8/8 full and 1/2 hollow, It just depends on how I feel but 99.9% of the time it's going to be 1/4 grind 6/8 Hart Steel

I started with 5/8, but fast realized that my range is 6/8- 8/8. If I have to choose one single size I'd go for 7/8, I prefer grinds not heavier than 1/2 hollow.

I would say 7/8 - 8/8. I like all grinds. If I had to choose I guess half hollow, but I like a wedge too.... Full and extra hollow get nice. I also don't mind 5/8, 6/8 and 9/8. Yea that pretty much narrows it down.

5/8, full hollow. Don't like the cold, stiff feeling of heavier grinds.

I own and shave with 5/8 through 8/8 but prefer a 6/8 most of all. I have a 10/8 or two but they are more often seen and not heard. Grind wise I prefer heavier but I do have some full hollows that I like.

5/8 at or near full hollow.
The narrower blades are more easily manuvered but they are more difficult to properly strop.
The old heavy blades are very macho but I don't use them as much.

Make mine 6/8 any grind, preferably shoulderless with thumb notch and french point. Also jimps top and bottom of tang to go with a heavy spine and tang. Most times any razor within reason will do though. Sorry a little more than asked for.
